Moving to VPS

Just curious, when would your shared hosting users usually move to a VPS plan? Did they make their own decision or did they do it based on your recommendation (considering that sometimes a user doesn't know what he really needs)?

It goes either way really, it could be that the end user needs a configuration that is not allowed in a shared environment or they need more resources than a shared account provides.

You offer additional resources right? Is it possible that a shared server can have additional resources or is it only applicable to VPS?

Is there an additional payment if I wanted to upgrade my shared server from, for example, X5 to x10? I know I have to pay the increase but are there any more extra fees to be paid?

We would never penalize our customers for growing!

Just pay the difference.
