Basic start help
« on: January 29, 2010, 01:16:59 PM »
So I have cPanel for my site, but I'm not really sure how to use it. :/ Do you have any good resources where I could look to learn what I'm doing with it?

We have some basic flash tutorials on a white label domain that we give out to our resellers.

Thanks! Dumb question now, what's a white label domain? I've never heard that term before.  I'll check out the flash tutorials tomorrow morning though once I get in to work.

The idea of a white label domain is that our resellers can give the address to their customers and they will not see our domain name. This way the resellers customers wont purchase hosting directly from us because they saw that the resell is using us.

That is interesting, dave. This is also the first time I heard about a white label domain. Can we also do something like that for our own websites?

I'm still learning when it comes to webhosting.  I checked out your link, Dave.  The tutorials were very helpful.  Thank you.  I now understand things a little better.

My mind is whirling now of ideas now, does this only apply for resellers. Say I want someone to visit a page on my site, but I do not want them to know the domain, could I do this as well, would my host or is it not possible since I would not be a reseller.

You could simply register an additional domain name and provide that content on the domain that is not branded like your main domain name.
