WHM?
« on: February 08, 2010, 01:54:04 PM »
Only resellers need this, right? I wish I knew why my buddy kept telling me I need it, I only have one site and when something breaks (or I break it) I have a great host to help me sort things, even though I think I should be paying extra as I tend to keep them on their toes a ton.

WHM is a reseller panel, you dont need it for a single website in a shared environment.

Since WMH is a reseller program, do you need to have it if you are running more than one program if you are not planning to resell?

You dont need WHM unless you are planning to resell accounts or you want an easy way to manage multiple accounts with separate accounts. You can host multiple sites / apps on cpanel account just fine.

I understand what you mean about controlling multiple sites using cPanel. What is the difference then in using WHM from cPanel?

Is it alright to get a VPS server instead of a reseller package and use the WHM to resell the free resources?

You are free to do whatever you want with a VPS as long as it does not violate our terms of service. Providing free resources is well within your rights as a customer.
