Two Websites Sharing One Server or Separate Servers?
« on: March 23, 2010, 03:14:09 AM »
What would you recommend if I have two websites? Will I just get one of the big plans of shared hosting plans, like X15 maybe, and use that plan for my two different websites? Or would it be more practical to get 2 separate servers, perhaps plan X8, for each website?

I would put all your sites under 1 cpanel if you are the only person administering them. That way you can share resources between them like Disk and Bandwidth.

Addon domains in cPanel allow to run multiple domains as if they were separate accounts with different email addresses and ftp accounts for each one.

I agree with you. It would be much easier to manage if you put all of your websites under one control panel. You could share resources with them as I assume that different websites would have different amount of traffic and popularity.

I would keep that information in mind when I upload my own website/s.

Can I measure what my websites are using if I have 2 or more websites in one server?

With cpanel you can check stats on each addon domain that you have in place independently.
