Build your own plan?
« on: March 06, 2010, 07:14:47 AM »
In the shared hosting plans, besides the X1 - X15 plans, you also give the clients an option to "build their own plans". What does it mean? Using the customized plan, can a client really choose the amount of bandwidth, storage space, and the number of databases, addon domains, etc. as per his/her need?

I think so, they will provide you the resources that need according to your own preferences. I guess this is a better deal because you get to tell them which resource you would like more in order for your website to function well.

Hello Greeny,  What a "Build your own plan" means is exactly that.  You let us know your specific requirements and we build a plan to fit your needs.   If your requirements range from a simple web hosting package to a full web hosting reseller package, We can efficiently take care of any need you would have .

Is there a limit of what you can offer? I know this sounds crazy but I'm wondering if you can meet all the requirements that the clients are asking for however big they are.

Thanks ResidentGeek for confirming this. That's great to be able to purchase a hosting package which exactly meets what I need.

@ Cid: I guess there is a limit on the bandwidth and storage space, exceeding which you will be advised to use VPS instead of shared hosting.

Our largest advertised plan is 15x:
DISK SPACE: 15000MB
BANDWIDTH: 150000MB
Unlimited Features

However we have customers with plans over 30x, we will custom build plans at whatever size a customer requires using the same formula as the rest of our packages.

Does this mean that if a customer wants to have a 25x, you will multiply only all the resources to 25?

I thought we could get a server that has specific resources like 20,000 MB space with 15,000 MB bandwidth.

You can have a custom plan as well. it's just that our "x" series plans are a very good deal.

Wow, this really a good offer. What is the calculation for the price of custom plans? Will the service be the same as the other plans or will I become a priority because I will pay more?

The formula is:
DISK SPACE: 1000MB
BANDWIDTH: 10000MB
MYSQL DB's: 3
EMAIL ACCOUNTS: 50
FTP ACCOUNTS: 20
EMAIL LISTS: 5
PARKED DOMAINS: 1
SUBDOMAINS: 6
ADDON DOMAINS: 2
= 1 unit

1 unit = 1.99/mo (if paid annually) or 2.99/mo paid monthly

X10 is simply a multiplication of the above plan by 10:
DISK SPACE: 10000MB
BANDWIDTH: 100000MB
MYSQL DB's: 30
EMAIL ACCOUNTS: 500
FTP ACCOUNTS: 200
EMAIL LISTS: 50
PARKED DOMAINS: 10
SUBDOMAINS: 60
ADDON DOMAINS: 20

Annually: 19.90/mo
Monthly: 29.90/mo

All customer get the same level of service as tickets are responded to as they come in, the only exception is reseller accounts since they are given extended support however that is a function that would not apply to standard shared accounts anyways.

Thanks for the formula. It looks really simple.

What about the formula for the custom plan? I assume that this will be arranged in private because it is not easy to discuss this.

Actually you can go into our order system and play around with the custom plan.
